The Toud Gward system makes it possible to reduce the human, technical and financial risks of accidents, linked to the cognitive overload weighing on the captain, generated by the multiple sensors and alarms on board a ship. Allowing the boat's environment to be represented in the form of a "sound map" with alerts directed either to a set of fixed loudspeakers or to a mobile device carried by the navigator, the system makes it possible to reduce the delay between the alert and the visual consideration of the danger and ultimately reduce the risk of collision.
